Oleg Nikolaev
Oleg is a senior software engineer and data scientist who designs the AI architecture behind the systems Elevate builds for clients. As a portfolio manager, he leads client work from plan to delivery, and he runs our internship program. One client told us they needed a full-time Oleg just to do AI research.
What I do
Design AI architecture.
Choose the models, data, tools and guardrails behind each AI system we build, and the evals that show whether a change helped. Test new models against real client work before they go into a design.
Manage a client portfolio.
Lead a set of client engagements end to end: the relationship, the plan and the engineers doing the hands-on work. Clients get one person who understands both the business goal and the build.
Run the internship program.
Bring interns onto real projects, review their work and mentor them until they can ship on their own.
What I believe
An AI agent's performance relies on three interconnected pillars: the model's specific capabilities, the quality of the data, and the precision of its instructions. If just one of these elements is compromised, the entire outcome is poisoned. Ensuring success requires a holistic approach that maintains the health of all three simultaneously: aligning the right model for the task, curating reliable data through data pipelines, and converting successful processes into agentic workflows.
The model isn't misunderstanding you. It's following you a little too closely.
